Phototherapy

COMEN BL70

High-irradiance LED stand phototherapy — up to 63 µW/cm²/nm across 430–490 nm, five-level adjustment, integrated irradiance probe.

AAP guidelines define intensive phototherapy by irradiance at the treatment surface, not by nominal device output, so verification of delivered dose is the clinically meaningful measure. The BL70 (COMEN) is a trolley-mounted LED unit operating across the 430–490 nm therapeutic spectrum, with five-level irradiance adjustment up to 63 µW/cm²/nm at maximum output and a built-in irradiance probe that measures actual surface irradiance at the bedside. Rated LED service life is up to 50,000 hours.

  • Maximum irradiance 63 µW/cm²/nm — Exceeds the AAP intensive phototherapy threshold.
  • 430–490 nm therapeutic spectrum — The wavelength range identified by AAP for unconjugated bilirubin reduction.
  • Five-level irradiance adjustment — Stepwise titration to bilirubin trajectory and gestational age.
  • Integrated irradiance probe — On-device measurement of actual delivered surface irradiance.
  • LED service life up to 50,000 hours — Substantially exceeds fluorescent or halogen alternatives.
  • Trolley-mounted — moves between bays as needed.
  • Single-source LED — predictable spectral profile across service life.
  • On-device verification removes the need for an external photometer.

Used for neonatal phototherapy across mild, moderate, and intensive treatment thresholds. Enables verified delivery of AAP-aligned irradiance at the treatment surface, with stepwise titration of dose.
