Thermal Care & Incubation

ATOM Medical DUAL INCU-I

Convertible closed incubator and open radiant warmer – closed-to-open conversion without patient transfer, preserving thermal stability across procedural access phases.

Preterm neonates need closed incubation during the early high-dependency period and open radiant warming during procedures and family contact, and conventionally that means transferring between two separate devices – an event associated with cold stress and physiological instability.
DUAL INCU-I integrates both configurations in a single convertible unit, with a peripheral touch-screen control panel displaying air and skin temperature, humidity, oxygen, and optional SpO₂ and weight. An air curtain limits temperature drop when access ports are opened.

  • Closed-to-open conversion without patient transfer — Removes the cold stress and handling risk of moving between separate devices.
  • Air curtain during port access — Limits ambient air infiltration during nursing interventions.
  • Humidity up to 95% RH — Supports ELBW neonates during the first days of life.
  • Peripheral touch screen — Full parameter visibility and adjustment without reaching over the infant.
  • Mattress tilt and X-ray cassette access without opening admittance panels — Reduces opening frequency and duration.
  • Double-lock admittance panels — passive safety against accidental opening.
  • Optional in-bed scale in 1 g increments — fluid balance without removing the infant.
  • Internal acoustic environment <41 dBA.

Used across the early NICU course of preterm and critically ill neonates where both closed-environment care and open-procedural access are required. Enables transition between closed and open configurations on the same platform without patient handling.
